It does seem that the government strategy is rather knee-jerk. Obviously they are worried about people pulling out their own teeth as it is not a good look for a 21 Century country. The goverments first stab at the policy did not work at all, their categorisation of dental emergencies left many with advanced decay without access. Of course all increases in NHS provision are good but it does seem to be mainly sticking plasters rather than the root and branch changes that many have been recommending for many years.
At Harmoni Dental we do not provide NHS care BUT we have created Harmoni Care Plans. Our plans allow patients to spread the cost of your regular examinations and Hygiene Preventive care with monthly payments starting at just £10 a month. This gives our patients access to our Essentials Range of treatments, with prices only slightly higher than NHS rates. We will embrace the work of Dental Therapists to help us achieve this.
