Impact gumshields are suitable for ages 7 and up. They are even designed to work with missing or growing teeth, making them ideal for young players whose adult teeth are still coming through. We refit as the mouth develops so protection stays accurate.
Yes — Impact make a specialised braces gumshield designed to comfortably accommodate fixed orthodontic appliances. A knock to the mouth during braces treatment can cause serious damage to both teeth and the brace itself, so protection is essential. Nobody should miss out on the contact sport they love because of orthodontic treatment.
Just 2 minutes for the digital scan. Your gumshield is then 3D-printed by Impact and ready to collect or post out within a few working days. No messy impressions, no waiting around in the chair.
Rinse with cool water after every use and brush gently with toothpaste. Soak weekly in a denture-cleaning tablet solution. Store in the ventilated case provided. Never use hot water — heat can distort the fit.
